Is There Fluoride In Your Water?

We reached out to the Erie Water Works and discussed fluoridated water with them. Here’s what they said:

If you have Erie Water Works as your water company then you have fluoride in your water system.

North East, Girard and some parts of Fairview have a different water supplier and they may not have fluoride in the system, It is most likely that these counties do have fluoride but it’s a good idea to reach out and check.

If you have well water, you most likely do not have fluoride and your children (under age 15) would benefit from a fluoride supplement (ask your dentist or pediatrician).

Some fluoride does occur naturally, so have the well water checked before asking for a fluoride prescription.
